Thats great, the broadcasting head is currently vacant in the Mixxx Team. Give me a shout on here, or message me for my mail. But to sync to time in radio is imperative, and the only thing Mixxx is missing from our point of view. Other stuff, like having it tweet the track playing via api, dj up next etc would be handy. As far as I can see, this is the only fundamental difference / extra we’d have to buy from somewhere / link in / do badly.

If this has a schedule, even the Auto DJ functions expanded a little to include a time syncronisation, and choose from sepecified folder if time not yet reached this software could be the backbone of 400+ radio stations in the UK just to start with, as the alternatives are very expensive. Your software already covers the streaming and ID’s the music playing - VLC shows me the track im listening to via shoutcast - As Standard!! Your software will organise them all to using the same thing - So perfect. Our volunteers run a mixture of Windows, Apple and Linux. In our radio station, folks bring in laptops and serato setups and plug in / break cables every day. Toe in and out - marking for talking over the tracks where vocals are not apparent, at the begining of songs. Myriad also works as a catalog and scheduling software. The schedule would normally be kept up to date by having a show fill 56-58 mins of the hour, then a redundancy folder, where suitable tunes to fill in the gaps would be used, A time specific (synced by external time) crossover to the News, or the next show at for example 19:59:50 a 10 sec sweep to the 20:00:00 news.Ģ mins of news or so, this will be specified by your news broadcaster, then back to sync’d playlist / in the studio or whatever is going on. to sync to the news, the Live broadcast or simply to the next show. but a couple of things are not there and they are essential.
In fact, this software does somethings far easier and more efficiantly than Avid or Myriad, typical softwares. There are some basic functions, that would enable it to much better be the backbones of a radio station.
